Hope Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games

David Hope, first baseman for the University-on-Sea Spitfires, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 4-3 victory over the Stuttgart Military College Chameleons at Dingos Park.

"I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends."
David Hope flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and singled in the 10th.

This season, Hope is batting .362 with 7 home runs.
