International Conference South Title Goes to Velocity Saturday, April 26th , 1952 Orange Prince A&M Velocity fans have reason to celebrate today, as their franchise is the class of the International Conference South. With their record standing at 25-24, the club officially wrapped up the division title today, for the 1st time. The team manager said everyone on their roster is looking forward to the postseason and trying to capture the club's 1st championship. "That's what you dream about your whole life," he said. Starting Pitcher Jim Martin added that it's a great feeling to win the division, but said ultimately, a Championship Series victory is what will mark success for the club. |
