Pinet Strokes 5 Hits
Saturday, April 26th , 1952
Jean-Marie Pinet was at the head of a Corpus Christi A&M hit parade at Team 16 Grounds. The second baseman went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Dolphins to a nice 17-4 victory over the Bismarck State University Bears.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Pinet told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Bears skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Jean-Marie Pinet hit a two-run home run off Dan Rudan in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, tripled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

To date Pinet has chalked up a .266 average with 8 home runs, driven in 32 runs and scored 31 times.
