The North West Florida University Aligators starting pitcher tore up the Bakersfield Institute of Technology Golden Bears to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Team 13 Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Reed powered the 22-10 Aligators win. "Reed was a tough out," Bakersfield Institute of Technology manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Jeff Reed hit a solo-shot off Phil Gross in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Éric Revel in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 6th.
