Dortmund University Advances to Division Series Saturday, May 3rd , 1952 The Dortmund University Scarecrows have cruised through the Wildcard Series, easily sweeping away the Orange Prince A&M Velocity by a count of 3-0. The final blow came with a 4-1 triumph at Scarecrows Ballpark, which sends Dortmund University on to the Division Series. "There's a lot of focus from our team right now, up and down that bench and in the clubhouse," said Winton Welshman. For the series, Welshman had a 1.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record. He was named series MVP for his efforts. The Dortmund University Scarecrows don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Stuttgart Military College Chameleons - University-on-Sea Spitfires series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Division Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
