Playoff Win Advances Corpus Christi A&M to Next Round Friday, April 30th , 1954 In what was described by the team's manager as a "thrilling night" for fans of the Corpus Christi A&M Dolphins, the club has advanced to the League Championship Series, with a 9-6 win over the North West Florida University Aligators at Team 16 Grounds. "It's a great way to go in to the League Championship Series, with this kind of momentum," added Jose Perez, who went 5-for-5 in the game to earn MVP honors. "We're feeling unbeatable right now." On the other side of the ballpark, North West Florida University players forlornly packed up their belongings and said goodbye to teammates for the offseason. The Corpus Christi A&M Dolphins don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the The Janison Institute Wolverines - Ocean County Institute of Technology Demons series. That series has not started yet. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
