5-for-6 Day for Littmann
Friday, July 3rd , 1953
The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Nicholas Littmann.
The right fielder for the Los Angeles A Warlords hit the milestone against the New York A Big Stick, helping his club to a narrow 15-14 victory. Littmann finished with a 5-for-6 line at the plate.
"Littmann was a tough out," New York A manager told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one."
Nicholas Littmann singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year, Littmann is hitting at a .371 pace with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs. He has played in 52 games and scored 26 times.
