Jared Nunn Takes MVP Trophy

Jared Nunn of the Taipei High School Wingnuts had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 1955.

The 17-year-old left fielder put up a .400 average and a .519 on-base percentage, piling up 58 hits, 11 doubles, 1 triple, 18 home runs, 57 RBIs and 43 runs scored.

He received 60 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Hedde Vermeulen of the Amsterdam Secondary Bluebirds finished second in voting, while Jean-Loup Pasquet of the Montpellier Central High School Knighthawks finished third.
