Hoorn University Wins Top Spot in International Conference North Tuesday, April 28th , 1953 Winning the International Conference North is a "major milestone" for the Hoorn University Watermen, but according to their starting pitcher, it's only a small part of the master plan. "Win the division, get to the Championship Series, win the Championship Series," said Mario Ayala. "That's what we've talked about doing since day one here. We're 1 for 1 so far, so that's a good start." It is the 1st time in franchise history that Hoorn University has won the International Conference North. If the team does in fact go "3 for 3" in accomplishing the team goals, it would be the 1st Championship Series in team history. |
