Punta Cana University Takes Division Series Friday, May 1st , 1953 There was no room for error for the Punta Cana University Triplets and the Colón University Nuggets in the Division Series. Win and move on, lose and go home. "We kept telling the guys in the clubhouse that there was no tomorrow," said Triplets right fielder Danny Serafin, shortly after his team eliminated the Nuggets by a 10-2 score to advance to the League Championship Series. "This type of single-elimination game is great for the fans, and thankfully, more so for our fans this time around." Serafin went 3-for-5 in the game to lead his team to victory and was named the MVP. The Punta Cana University Triplets will play against the Dortmund University Scarecrows in the next round. Dortmund University won their series against the Cumana University Fighting Lions. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
