International Conference East Won: Golden Panthers on Top Sunday, April 27th , 1952 It was far from a foregone conclusion, but the Kaohsiung University Golden Panthers are now champions of the International Conference East. "We battled, day in and day out," said starting pitcher Maximilien Bardin. "This is one to savor, as it was close right down to the end and that puts a lot of pressure on a team." With a record of 27-23, the Golden Panthers have officially won their 1st division crown. The team's manager said there's "a lot of pride and excitement" involved in coming out on top of the International Conference East. The club will now be looking to win the 1st TOBA College championship in franchise history. |
