Quian Shows Off, Hits for Cycle Tuesday, May 20th , 1952 Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Scarecrows Ballpark. Chong-yee Quian of the Dortmund University Scarecrows accomplished the feat against Kaohsiung University Golden Panthers. Quian went 4-for-5 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 10-4 Dortmund University victory. "That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Quian said after the game. Quian also scored 3 runs and had 1 RBI in a day to remember for both Quian and the crowd at Scarecrows Ballpark. Chong-yee Quian singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Rickey Hampton in the 5th, walked in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. In his season totals Quian has 3 home runs and a .260 batting average. |
