Ayala Mows Down Kaohsiung University, 7-0 Saturday, March 28th , 1953 Mario Ayala of the Hoorn University Watermen humiliated the Kaohsiung University Golden Panthers at Team 24 Stadium, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 4 hits. "He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Kaohsiung University manager , after the game. Ayala whiffed 6 and walked 1 in the 7-0 win. "If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Ayala said. "I was making good pitches the entire game." Ayala has fashioned a 2-2 mark for the season, 2.36 ERA and thrown 53.1 innings in 6 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .232 against him. |
